Statement on the Dignity of Life
Our school recognizes the inherent dignity of all human life from conception to natural death. We believe this dignity flows from the image of God that each human being possesses as part of their creation. (Genesis 1:26-31) Therefore, human life is to be loved, cared for, and protected, especially those lives in vulnerable conditions, including both the born and the unborn. (Psalm 139:13-16; Deuteronomy 10:17-19)
The recognition of the dignity of human life is a foundational idea and carries significant
worldview implications. Because of this, each area of our academic studies is influenced by it.
Our school is committed to proclaiming, nurturing, and defending the dignity of all born and unborn persons. We will integrate this idea as a foundational precept across our curriculum. Finally, we commit to forming the heart and minds of our students with an understanding ofthe dignity of their lives and all other persons created by God.
